THE RAJ BHAVAN LIBRARY

Raj Bhavan has a very good library with about 7,000 books of different languages like English, Oriya, Bengli, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu. The collection includes books on Constitution, Religion, Philosophy, Biographies, History, Culture, Yoga, Literature, Economics, Management and Computers with special sections for children and reference books. The library is being used by the Governor,  the staff of Raj Bhavan and their families. The VVIPs often use the library during their visit and stay at Raj Bhavan.

The books have been classified according to  Dewey Decimal Classifications(DDC) and follows an open access system. The library like any other library is expanding steadily. To meet the requirement of additional space, the Library is being shifted to a new building within Raj Bhavan  with more space for book shelves and reading room.
